Why We Built product4me.com

We had a single question in mind when creating product4me.com and that was “Is there really a single best product for everyone?” Everywhere you look it seems there are advertisements for the “best” product with the “best features” or the “#1 rating.” The problem is that you are not me and I am not you. We are different, and everyone has different opinions, different desires and different needs. A product that might be perfect for one person might not work at all for another. Whenever we read articles about the “best product” we realize that it really isn’t that simple so we had a revolutionary thought.

What if we could create a website where people could search for the perfect product based on their own idea of what the “perfect product” looked like? It was this thought that is the basis of what our website is today. We don't actually sell any of the products in our database. We have simply created a community for people to share product information, and we hope that our site will give everyone the ability to search for products in an unbiased and neutral manner.

Before we created product4me.com we looked at hundreds of sites to see if there was something similar to what we wanted to create. We were surprised to find that there really wasn’t any other site like ours. Many sites have the ability to search for products and compare them, but they are almost always products that they are trying to sell, and they almost never provide information about their competitor’s products. We felt that this was a huge problem. We also knew from our own experience that searching among different sites for the information we wanted was incredibly time-consuming! If we hated spending hours doing research for products, we figured everyone else did too.
